Robert Eujean Ogden ~ MFA is a filmmaker and music producer based in San Francisco, CA. In his decade long career in the arts he has worked for production companies such as DreamWorks Animation, Eyethink Pictures, Ikoya Productions, Fox TV’s Nanny 911, and Hyde Street Studios.
At DreamWorks Animation he worked with Academy Award Nominees Producer Denise Cascino and Director Tom McGrath on principal film Megamind starring Brad Pitt, Will Farrell, and Tina Fey. He also assisted on sequences in Kung Fu Panda 2 and How To Train Your Dragon as well as produced the animation sequences for Broadway’s hit, Shrek The Musical. At Ikoya Productions he was Set Dresser on award winning indie horror film, Crazy Eights. The film won SciFi Channel’s After Dark Horror Fest and featured in SciFi’s “8 Films to Die For.” At Eyethink Pictures Eujean edited Festival Award Winning feature length films I Wanna Be A Republican, Almost Infamous, as well as MTV News Segments for Equality U.
In 2015, Ogden founded What A Day Productions. What A Day is a music video, documentary, and narrative film production company located within the sacred music halls of San Francisco's historical and legendary Hyde Street Studios. Hyde has long been home to such amazing artists as The Grateful Dead, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Parliament Funkadelic, Paul Simon, Green Day, Jefferson Airplane, STS9, 2Pac and the list is a never ending story. At Hyde, Eujean has been an audio engineer in his very own “Studio B” where he has most recently mixed the studio album Love Things from Moore Mapp Records' recording artist, Azalove. The 2014 release features greats Angelo Moore of Fishbone, Keno Mapp of Heart Touch, Victoria Theodore of the Stevie Wonder band and many more.
In 2014 Eujean began writing and producing the debut album for his own musical endeavor, Secret Agents of the Sun (S.A.S.). The off-the-cuff dance conscious debut will be internationally distributed on vinyl, cd, and digital this Autumn 2015. Eujean’s previous music projects include Swallow Key, humansgoFigure, Puma Reflex, and The Cold Club. The Secret Agents of the Sun debut studio album, Pan Dimensional Aerobics (P.D.A.), was recorded in Studio B at Hyde Street Studios, SF over the course of 2014. S.A.S. have recently moved to Paris to complete mixing P.D.A. while rehearsing for the live performance, and producing music videos under the What A Day slate. The music videos are expected to accompany this autumn’s release.
Since 2013 Eujean began teaching in his spare time at San Francisco’s School of Audio Engineering Institute, San Francisco. At SAE he conducts lectures and demonstrations on industrial techniques from Sound Design for Motion Pictures to Music Production Recording and Distribution. Eujean received his 4 year Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2004 Majoring in Film and Television in the schools of Directing, Producing, and Writing. His BFA carries with it the Minor Studies Sound Design, Sculpture, and Art History. He has also undergone his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Degree in Directing Motion Pictures at the San Francisco Academy of Art, 2012.
Eujene is a dedicated lover of the arts. Hailing from the school of the French New Wave, he enthusiastically studies the history of cinema, theater, and most arts under the sun. He is inspired by the realm of the beautifully bizarre and fascinated by mechanics of anatomical movement and human expression of all accounts. He is a creative consultant to many artistic groups ranging from film to music to fine art and even circus arts. His skill sets have included a wide range from choreographing famed circus troupe’s Vau de Vire Society and Teatro Zinzanni to screenplay adaptation for Best Selling fiction novelist, Starhawk for her upcoming debut feature film The Fifth Sacred Thing from Yerba Buena Films.
Eujean spends sunrise after sunrise after sunrise conceiving and executing creative exhibitions. He is an ultra-productive workaholic never sleeping before the To-Do-List’s are complete. He is currently crafting his film career towards writing and directing feature motion pictures and music videos while conducting a musical adventure in Secret Agents of the Sun. Eujean encourages kindness in all professional relationships and happily accepts input from co-workers of any level. He enjoys every moment of his artistic career and wishes to return this joy to audiences and affiliates alike. So it is under many a creative guise Eujean hopes of contributing a positive impact to the process of human development.
